Founder & Establishment
The Founder/Director happened to enjoy quality higher education in Land Surveying, leading to a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Surveying in 1983. The quality training combined with the personal interest in the profession resulted in successful involvement in large construction and infrastructural projects in the homeland Iran.
The said professional backpack helped him smooth landing in the highly competitive surveying/construction environment of South Africa, in 1996.
After a couple of years of involvement in a variety of mega projects in South Africa and across Africa, he established Salem Surveys as a private practice in 2002. Since then, Salem Surveys has been serving the major brands of construction and engineering, successfully and repeatedly.
Mission and Vision
As a mission, we strive to serve and support all infrastructure and industrial developments in South- Africa and Africa.
As a rule, or principle, we have always encouraged our Surveying Team Leaders in exerting maximum flexibility and friendliness, very much against the harsh nature of the business, in delivering the required survey services to our client’s representatives, in every project site.
Capacity
We feel proud of our knowledge, experience, track record, technical trendiness, and the satisfaction of our clients’, as our main assets. At the same time, we have always been able to boost our manpower, equipment, transportation, and software, to meet the excessive workflow or the specific needs and requirements of our clients, satisfactorily. As such, we are also proud to have successfully managed and implemented the surveying requirements of complex and mega projects.
Therefore, in general, our capacity is reasonably high.
Technology and Methodology
Like every other industry/profession, the technology of the surveying equipment and data processing keeps advancing. Accordingly, the planning and methodologies of carrying out surveys keep changing too. Inevitably, we have always tried to keep pace with the new trends. However, on a case-by-case basis, we decide on the kind of equipment and methodology suitable to each survey, based on the cost effectiveness and time frame fitting the subject project.
In general, we always endeavor to apply the latest technics and software to generate speedy results of outstanding quality.
Specialization
Due to the natural flow of the market, we have been awarded more of precise surveys in industrial projects such as, Civils Constructions and Power/Steel/Mine Plants than other types of surveys/projects. Hence, high precision and accuracy has become our street.
Professional Registration
All our senior staff are appropriately registered in the statutory and professional institutions of South Africa, such as SAGC and SAGI.
B-BBEE Status
We respect principles of Transformation and are compliant to all statutory regulations pertaining the registered entities in South Africa, such as the Broad-Base Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE).
As an EME we are a B-BBEE level 4 service provider.
